G8WAY to educational transition
A Uma das características das sociedades europeias é a grande diversidade de percursos educacionais e de oportunidades. Este aumento do número e da complexidade das escolhas exige grandes esforços por parte dos alunos, sobretudo ao nível da iniciativa, criatividade, resolução de problemas, avaliação do risco e tomada de decisão. Nos últimos anos têm vindo a ser criadas diversas estruturas de apoio aos estudantes nas suas transições educacionais. No entanto, estas estruturas têm vindo a ser formuladas, na sua maioria, de um ponto de vista institucional, sem incluir a experiência dos estudantes e sem considerar as competências de criatividade e as potencialidades da aprendizagem com utilização das tecnologias.

Web 2.0 pedagogy driven
Web 2.0 refers to a new understanding of the internet as a means of distributed and self-organized vs. centrally and linear organized processes of content production, editing and delivery. The overall objective of G8WAY is to take advantage of the fast growing availability of web 2.0 technologies, and elaborate a pedagogy driven web 2.0 environment for a variety of learning activities taking place during educational transition.

Building PersonasUnderstanding transition
In order to understand the variety of transition processes and experiences of young Europeans a story telling approach is employed to provide us with a rich background enabling us to develop scenarios and provide social software to support the transition process. We propose to tell our stories in the form of personas.

Workshop de Bucareste

O segundo workshop da parceria G8WAY realizou-se a 20 e 21 de Maio em Bucareste, na Roménia. O evento foi acolhido pelo Instituto de Ciências de Educação, entidade parceira do projecto

OnNo primeiro dia do workshop foram debatidos os resultados da primeira fase do projecto: a) Relatório: “Key issues report on educational transitions”; b) Relatório: ““Common Pedagogic Framework”, que irá constituir a base para o desenvolvimento das ferramentas web 2.0 para apoiar os estudantes na aquisição de competências para as transições; c) Análise de estudos de caso sobre percursos de transição e aspectos-chave da aprendizagem.

OnNo segundo dia do workshop foram formados grupos de trabalho com vista a:

  • Desenvolver uma metodologia comum, que permitirá construir um conjunto inicial de “personas” e cenários de transição a partir dos estudos de caso
  • Elaborar um enquadramento conceptual para o desenvolvimento de uma plataforma com ferramentas web 2.0 para o apoio às transições educacionais.

Workshop de Halle

O workshop de arranque do projecto G8WAY realizou-se em Halle/Saale (Alemanha), a 17 e 18 de Dezembro de 2009. O evento foi organizado pelo Instituto Alemão da Juventude (Deutsches Jugendinstitut e.V.), entidade coordenadora do projecto. Neste workshop, foram debatidos os aspectos-chave do projecto e foram realizadas sessões de grupo sobre as principais transições educacionais nos países parceiros.
